Travel & Accommodation
Getting There
By plane
Montpellier: The most direct route, but likely the most expensive. Will still require a connecting flight for those traveling from the US.
Marseille: The largest nearby airport, it will have more options and lower prices than Montpellier. It’s a ~2 hour drive from the wedding location. This is a great choice for those looking to add a beach trip before or after the wedding.
Paris: The most economical option with the largest choice of flight times. A high-speed train is available from Paris CDG airport to Monpellier.
By train
Take the train to Montpellier. The Montpellier train station is a ~40 minute drive from the wedding location.
A car will be required to get around in the area surrounding the wedding location. Closer to the date of the wedding, we will share a sheet to help folks coordinate carpools. We will also arrange shuttle and taxi services for transport to and from the wedding venue on Saturday.
Accomodations
The approximate location of the house where we'll be holding most of the events is here.
As you'll see on Google maps, the location is rather remote - the nearest large city (Montpellier) is a 30-40 minute drive from the house. August is also the high season for vacationers in this region. As such, if you want to stay close to the venue (we think you should!) it's very important to book your lodgings as soon as possible!
To help you in the process of choosing and booking a place, we've prepared this spreadsheet with a wide selection of houses, inns, and hotels within a ~30 min radius of the house: Katy & Julien Wedding - Lodgings. You may also feel free to do your own searches on Airbnb, Booking.com, vrbo, etc.
